The Peninsula Forum is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) educational Foundation. The Forum is designed to stimulate and support meaningful discussion in the areas of sustainability, public service, politics and public/private sector activities relative to transportation, housing, economic development, public safety, employment and related issues.
The Forum sponsors the Peninsula Forward Project, a series of televised panel discussions among community and political leaders and public and private sector policy makers around issues of sustainability. The panels are designed to provoke real world, non rhetorical exchanges between stakeholders in order to illustrate the many dimensions of policy making and the real difficulties that even willing participants face in solving concrete, policy related problems.
The Forum also works with related nonprofit agencies and individuals to create media that deals with the history of our community. We also support the exploration of sustainable strategies and policies as they touch our region or issues that are relevant to it.
